Gillette Mach3 vs Mach3 Turbo

Hi Gents.

Some time ago, I used and reviewed the popular Gillette Mach3 and Mach3 Turbo on shavingadvisor.com.

The only thing I found different between these was the Mach3 Turbo was slightly faster (kind of goes along with being named turbo).

Anyway. I revisited these two razors again and did a side-by-side comparison on YouTube.

Again, on this occasion, I did not find much difference. While the lubrication strip is slightly wider on the turbo, and when buying the 3D model of the Turbo, a user gets a head/blade movement feature, there is nothing between them in performance (apart from the Turbo feels speedier on the first couple of shaves).

My view is go with whatever blades are on offer and the cheapest when needing to renew blades. Sometimes, the turbo blades in a larger pack are on offer, or vice versa with the Mach3.

Head Shaving

The Mach3 was the first ever razor I had a head shave with quite a few years ago. Truth is, it still is all that a head shaving guy needs to get the job done.
