Head Shaving and Beard Washing

The Weekly Grooming Dispatch

Top posts/videos from this week

It's been a busy week of head shaving, although I have bought a few traditional wet shaving kit items for using and reviewing (TOBS OUD + Simpson Trafalgar T3 Synthetic brush ++ other items). I need some time with them!

It's been more about videos than writing stuff up for you guys.

However, Robert has been somewhat busy with the beard washes.

Recent Videos

If you dont know, I now shoot video reviews on YouTube (you can see the channel here). It was time to move from text and images to provide more visuals for the reviews (I still have the website reviews, too--buys days).

Anyways....

I got the Remington Balder Boss video live, which is the upgrade from the Remington Balder Pro. Outside of the US, these are the Remington RX5 and RX7 (upgrade).

I also managed to compare both the Pro and Boss in a vs. video, although the Boss video does cover some comparison info.

For guys outside of the US and Canada, you can check out RX7 and RX5 vs. RX7 videos.

While I was busy testing and using the new shaving stuff out and getting the videos live. Robert was actively washing his beard and putting the roundup together of beard washes

Medicine Man Beard Wash Review – An Anti-Itch Fresh Desert Air

While it is let down by its lackluster texture, Medicine Man Anti-Itch Beard Wash has a subtle aroma that is comforting and does the job of cleaning the beard without any strange chemicals or harsh ingredients.

The Best 9 Beard Washes We Tested, Used and Reviewed

I will build on the info we put together in Choosing The Right Beard Wash – An Experience-Based Guide, so if you have time, I recommend going and checking that article out. However, if you just need a quick review roundup of the best beard washes I have used–this article should have you covered.

Until next time --

Happy Shaving and Grooming

Three Shaving Gels Im Going For The BullDog Hi Gents. I've recently been using cartridge razors quite a lot for reviews on the YouTube channel. This has led to testing out shaving gels, which a lot of guys like to use with multi-blade razors. I hadn't used transparent shave gels for a while, but I loved them many a year ago with a Mach3. So, it's a bit of a revisit for me. The Three Shave Gels Reviewed -- Bulldog Original Shave Gel American Crew Shave Gel King C Gillette Shave Gel 1. BullDog...

Gillette Mach3 vs Mach3 Turbo Plus Head Shaving Hi Gents. Some time ago, I used and reviewed the popular Gillette Mach3 and Mach3 Turbo on shavingadvisor.com. The only thing I found different between these was the Mach3 Turbo was slightly faster (kind of goes along with being named turbo). This is the article here -- Gillette Mach3 vs Mach3 Turbo Mach3 Mach3 Turbo Anyway. I revisited these two razors again and did a side-by-side comparison on YouTube. Again, on this occasion, I did not find...

Proraso Cream vs Proraso Foam Which is Best? Hi Gents. Yeah, it is a bit of a weird one, but when I saw Proraso was available in a canned foam, I wondered how it would compare with the wonderful and popular Proraso in a tube. If you have been wet shaving traditionally for some time, then you'll know all about Proraso shaving cream in a tube. If you don't shave with traditional razors (i.e., safety or straight razors), then the foam in a can by Proraso might be worth trying out. I tested the...
